Școala Gimnaziala Sfântul Apostol Andrei from Buzau Romania is a public elementary school, subordinated to the Ministry of National Education through the Buzau County School Inspectorate. It develops its activity in buildings belonging to the local public domain of Buzau City and it is managed and financed by the Municipality of Buzau City.
The educational levels in our school are: primary (from the preparatory class to the 4th class) and gymnasium classes (V-VIII). Since the beginning of 2017, our school has been implementing the STEP by STEP educational alternative, so we have two classes by now. 394 pupils are enrolled in the primary school and 327 students in the gymnasium. All teachers of the school are 16 primary teachers and 31 teachers (English teachers, Sports, Arts, Mathematics, Romanian language,French language etc…).
The educational offer included physical/sports and academic activities/subjects in the school curriculum; extracurricular activities for the formation of advanced language and IT skills and supporting the high performance; extracurricular activities – cultural, artistic, and sport and leisure contests and competitions, etc
In our institution we propose a quality and effective education, compatible with the European education system, based on full participation and equality, regardless of social status of the child family, gender, religion, ethnicity, psycho-motor skills that meet the different learning needs of the pupils and determine their intellectual and professional modeling.
In order to achieve our vision, our medium term mission is:
-Promote the principles of optimal management to achieve an incluzive educational climate;
-Promote the principle of equalizing opportunities for school integration;
-To provide all students with a quality education by centering education to the student by using new work methodologies and by approaching the educational act from the perspective of community services by involving parents and community representatives in the preparation and career development of pupils by capitalizing on traditions local needs in relation to community needs.
